Silence and Solitude
Some of my favourite moments to photograph happen when the landscape disappears into fog. Mist has a way of simplifying a scene, hiding distractions, and revealing only what matters. It creates space for the imagination and allows familiar places to feel completely new.
The photographs in this collection are about those quiet moments. A lone tree fading into the mist, a mountain emerging from low cloud, or the calm of the sea on a still morning. Rather than dramatic light or grand vistas, I'm often drawn to subtle atmosphere and the feeling of being alone in nature.
Many of these images were made in conditions where most people would leave the camera in the bag. For me, those are often the most rewarding days to be outside.
If these photographs encourage you to slow down for a moment and simply enjoy the quiet, then they have done exactly what I hoped they would.
